I am a business leader with a passion for growth, performance, and purpose. My career spans hospitality, real estate, and international business development—industries where people and place intersect. Alongside my professional endeavors, I’ve found deep joy and fulfillment in tennis and public speaking, the latter through my involvement with Toastmasters, where I currently serve as Club President of the first English-speaking club in Mérida.
My journey has been shaped by a multicultural life. I’ve lived in Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Canada, and the United States, experiences that have enriched my worldview and sharpened my ability to navigate diverse markets and cultures.
Entrepreneurship is deeply rooted in my maternal heritage. I descend from the Ausucua family of Burgos, Spain, who settled in Mérida in the early 20th century and founded the iconic “Dos Mundos” bookstore and restaurant—a cultural institution that brought together literature and gastronomy. My grandfather Antonio González, also on my mother’s side and of Lebanese origin, made his mark in Quintana Roo between 1930 and 1970, where he became a pioneer in the chicle gum industry in the region now known as Tulum.
I come from a lineage of resilient European entrepreneurs who built enduring enterprises through grit, vision, and adaptability. Their legacy fuels my drive to carry that spirit forward—merging tradition with modern strategy to build impactful ventures and meaningful connections across borders. Soy un líder empresarial con pasión por el crecimiento, el desempeño y el propósito. Mi trayectoria abarca los sectores de hospitalidad, bienes raíces y desarrollo de negocios internacionales: industrias donde las personas y los lugares se conectan. Además de mi labor profesional, encuentro una profunda satisfacción en el tenis y la oratoria, esta última a través de Toastmasters, donde actualmente soy Presidente del primer club de habla inglesa en Mérida.
Mi vida ha estado marcada por una formación multicultural. He vivido en Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Canadá y Estados Unidos, experiencias que han enriquecido mi perspectiva del mundo y fortalecido mi capacidad para adaptarme y liderar en contextos diversos.
El emprendimiento está profundamente arraigado en mi herencia materna. Desciendo de la familia Ausucua, originaria de Burgos, España, que se estableció en Mérida a principios del siglo XX y fundó la emblemática librería y restaurante “Dos Mundos”, un punto de encuentro cultural que combinaba literatura y gastronomía. Mi abuelo Antonio González, también por el lado materno y de origen libanés, dejó huella en Quintana Roo, donde vivió entre 1930 y 1970, siendo pionero en la explotación de la goma de chicle en la región que hoy conocemos como Tulum.
Provengo de una línea de empresarios europeos resilientes, que construyeron empresas duraderas con esfuerzo, visión y tenacidad. Su ejemplo sigue inspirándome a diario, y me impulsa a continuar con ese espíritu emprendedor, combinando tradición con estrategia moderna para crear negocios con impacto y relaciones significativas a nivel internacional.
